My Book Has Arrived!!!
There is nothing like holding your finished product in your hand. After countless hours of work and energy, and pouring your heart and soul into something, it feels amazing to see it done. And today, the first copy of my first book arrived! The book is called, "Inside The Song: Listen Your Way To A More Meaningful Life". I am so excited! I keep skipping around with a huge smile on my face, singing and feeling happy.
I also can't believe that I am technically an "author" now. I keep trying it on and using the term (annoyingly) with my husband. For example, I might make dinner and say "And here's dinner courtesy of your new author!" or I might get a paper cut, feign that it's much worse than it really is, flop on the ground dramatically and say, "Author down!" Of course these are *just* hypotheticals, but you get the idea. Like a new mama, I can't stop holding the book, cooing over it, and yes, taking photos of it. So, here without further ado, for the very first time, is my new baby's front cover: ![]() Isn't it beautiful? You might say it is elegant and modern, while also bringing a sense of charm and an inkling of the theme of what's inside the book. Yep, you might say that. And, because the book is a companion to my latest album, they were designed to go together. So, here they are side-by-side: ![]() Aren't they adorable?!?! Ahhhh! And I know you are curious about the back covers, so here they are: ![]() BAM! And I can tell you that they both look much better in person. (Plus, the book is pretty on the inside, too!) I would like to thank the amazing Tessa Eagan for her beautiful work on the design of the book and for hanging in there with me until we got it just right. As you can tell, I am quite excited. But I am most excited about sharing the whole book with you. I really feel it will be helpful to people and I can't wait to hear what you think of it. The book will be available for purchase online very soon. But in the meantime, be sure to sign up for one of my special concert workshops. OK, back to the cooing and skipping. Leave Comment: |
